About Me

I'm Tomasz Sobesto — a software engineer who's spent years building systems that handle real business complexity: multi-tenant platforms, financial record management, and infrastructure where failure isn't an option. I also lead a large team of front-end and back-end developers, designers, and quality controllers, coordinating across architecture, delivery, and operations.

# What I Do

I work across the full stack and beyond it. My day-to-day spans Laravel and React application development, database architecture, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, networking, and security monitoring. I don't draw a hard line between "developer" and "ops" — if it's part of the system, it's my responsibility.

Outside of work, I run a Proxmox homelab where I tinker with Home Assistant, self-hosted services, and whatever else catches my attention. I like understanding how things work end to end — whether that's a multi-tenant data isolation layer or a Zigbee sensor network in my house.

# How I Work

I care about precision. Every function has explicit types. Every model is scoped through proper authorization. Every migration is reviewed against the ERD. I'd rather invest time getting the architecture right than patch over a weak foundation later.

Correct over clever

Readable code with clear intent beats a clever one-liner every time.

Convention over configuration

Consistent patterns reduce cognitive load and make onboarding possible.

Security by design

Multi-tenancy scoping, input validation, and authorization aren't afterthoughts. They're structural requirements.

Infrastructure as a first-class concern

Deployment pipelines, monitoring, and server hardening deserve the same rigour as application code.
